February is Black History Month and UCalgary CIDE (Chemists for Inclusivity, Diversity, and Equity) will be hosting an email event where each week, we will spotlight one black chemist that has made a significant contribution to the field. We are also running a trivia competition that will encourage us to explore work currently being done by black chemists today.  Here are the first week’s bio and a trivia question.

The conference presenting research carried out by graduate students at the University of Calgary, one of the top 10 research universities in Canada, is now going ONLINE on February 25 and 26.

Write to a Calgary middle school student to share your experience and passion for science! Letters are exchanged on a monthly basis between a UofC student and a middle school student between grades 7-9. Letter exchange begins in February. 

Register before January 23th by Email.
