UCalgary CIDE (Chemists for Inclusion Diversity and Equity) would like to invite you to share your exciting research updates with your peers. The presentation will be only one PowerPoint slide. The first meeting will be on the last week of January via zoom. If you’re interested to present please let me know by 15th, January 2021 (amarasinghesenadeera@ucalgary.ca). If you are interested, but January doesn't work, please state it in your email. We can have you in our next session.

The Graduate College, in partnership with Chemists for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (CIDE), is pleased to present a screening of the documentary “Picture a Scientist” (https://www.pictureascientist.com/). We are also hosting a panel discussion with scientists from UCalgary and industry, who will talk about their experiences. Our panellists are:

Dr. Kristen Burford (Senior Scientist, Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc)
Dr. Constance Finney (Assoc. Prof, Biological Sciences, UCalgary)
Dr. Susana Kimura-Hara(Assist. Prof, Chemistry, UCalgary)
Dr. William Yimbo (Education Specialist, Officer of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, UCalgary).
Participants will be able to stream the documentary in their own time. A link will be provided on December 9th and is valid for 72 hours. The panel discussion will be held on December 11th, 14:00-15:30 MST, on Zoom.
